Lexus offers 2011 IS F sports saloon with cleaner Euro 5 engine

by Alex

Lexus seems to have crafted a new 2011 IS F sports saloon. However, there are hardly any noticeable differences between the new 2011 IS F sports saloon from its predecessor. Lexus, has apparently ruled out any intention to make drastic changes in an effective formula.

However, the most prominent change in the new 2011 IS F sports saloon lies under its hood where now sits the 417bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine. The V8 engine now complies with the Euro 5 emissions standards. What makes it distinguished from the rest of the changes is the fact that Lexus has achieved this feat without influencing its performance. The IS F sports saloon’s V8 engine is mated with an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift (SPDS) automatic transmission gearbox. All of this has now made it possible for the car to come up with some brisk acceleration figures. Like its now capable to take a leap from 0 mph to over 62 mph in a skimpy 4.8 seconds. The powerful luxury car can be driven at an electronically limited top speed of 168 mph. Moreover, the new sports saloon does not seem to have any improvement in CO2 emissions.

Furthermore, the drivers of this car like it to find it easy to handle the car. The sports vehicle’s stability has been significantly ameliorated by introducing a limited slip differential. Some of the latest engineering adjustments in the super sports vehicle consist of the front and rear coil springs. The shock absorbers in the sports saloon have been fine-tuned to provide an enhanced ride comfort. The sports vehicle’s new rear suspension geometry can now achieve greater stability. The stability of the car is not compromised even under higher loads with acceleration, brake, and cornering actions from the driver.

The new super sports label boasts enhancements such as steering response, cornering stability, and damping control. The new LED daytime lights along with High intensity discharge (HID) headlights are one of the new attractions of the sports saloon. The LED and the HID lights are designed to display Lexus’s signature arrowhead styling motif. The instrument dashboard inside the cabin has been completely redesigned from scratch. It now includes the tachometer and gearshift indicator in the center of the dashboard. Fiber-style trim details with new dark silver carbon have also been added to the Lexus.
The 2011 IS F super sports saloon is expected to cost starting at £57,105. The sports sedan would be available for sale in the market while you would be reading this update.
