Lumeneo is a small French company that is mainly unknown, only “revealing” itself to the general public through the Smera electric vehicle, a combination of car and scooter.
The Lumeneo Neoma is France’s answer to the EV Smart. Very little details have been released so far on this model, more scheduled to be shown to the publicity at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
All we know so far is that the Neoma will be a small 4-passenger vehicle. Although its size is comparable to the one of a Smart, Lumeneo apparently somehow fitted 2 passenger’s seats in the back. The length is 2.7-meters, and the width 1.6-meters. With such dimensions, you can understand why it’s almost unbelievable how four people would fit in there – but we’ll wait to see the concept in Switzerland next month.
We also know that the Neoma will be powered by two electric engines, similar to the ones on the Smera (but probably more powerful). The announced range is 150 km, or 94 miles. This isn’t bad at all, as most all-electric vehicles these days only get about 100 km. The battery will be a lithium-ion one. Because of the car’s size, the battery is also likely to be tiny, which means a short recharge time.
We will publish more information after it has been released in Geneva, so stay tuned on speedlux.com.
