It is a known fact that the luxury automotive marquee from the German soil, BMW, is working on the next generation variant of its 1-Series compact car. So far, there have only been a couple of spy images depicting the vehicle in the works. Yet, quite interestingly, a number of new images of the vehicle have been caught on camera as well. Unlike the previous spy images of the model, these ones reveal the car with the company’s M Sport package. The car has been caught on camera in Lisbon, Portugal, barely disguised.
The spy images here reveal that the car is coming with the Estoril Blue paint hue. As can be seen in the images, the model spotted here is the BMW 118d that has been gifted with the luxury German marquee’s typical all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain, the xDrive. In addition to that, the car also features a 6-speed manual transmission system. The car weighs 75 kg heavier than its rear-wheel-drive (RWD) counterpart.
Beneath the engine compartment, this car hides a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine. With this engine, owners of the car in question will be able to enjoy a total power output of 150 HP in addition to a total torque of 320 Nm. This is enough to take the car for the 0-100km/h sprint within only 8.4 seconds. And, in case you wonder about the top speed mark of the vehicle, the car can reach no less than 210 km/h.
According to recent reports, in its home country alone, Germany, the BMW 1-Series facelift without the M Sport package costs no less than 30,150 Euros. That, however, is for the 3-door variant. For those looking to buy the 5-door variant, they will have to pay at least 30,900 Euros. Yet, to add the M Sport package to their facelifted 1-Series model from BMW, customers will have to pay extra 34,500 Euros and 35,300 Euros for the 3-door and 5-door variants, respectively.
