To sell cars is the main motive and motif behind every car manufacturing company’s agenda. While a sale converts into a smiling company a non-sale means drain of good money.
Out of the various and numerous strategies that have been applied by automakers to increase and ensure sales of their cars, the one that comes out and outstanding of the lot is the Certified Pre-owned used car program.
While there was initial scoff at this process by many a car maker with time the advantages and returns have made these automakers to rethink and change their opinion on this aspect. Mazda has been one such car maker who has joined this scheme off late. They are planning to create and offer their own CPO plan to prospective customers.
In this CPO plan they have planned to offer al their cars which have run less than 60,000 miles on it and which have been manufactured between 2006 to 2010. The company has worked out that they would offer an additional 12 month or 12,000 mile comprehensive warranty and a seven year or 1000,000 mile powertrain warranty under its CPO program.
They have also announced provision of roadside assistance on its CPO cars with services like flat tire changing battery jump, lockout and fuel delivery in its ambit of services.
In the US there are already a number of dealers through whom the CPO program is already running and there are more dealers who would come in to the game in near future.
