Mercedes-Benz will stop production of the CLC this year

by Alex

Reports indicate Mercedes-Benz is going to stop production of their CLC model by the end of this year. This model was based on the C-Class platform (W203).

It was only in 2008 that this CLC version of the car came into the market and it was never marketed in North America. The reason for this was the low volume of sales that the C-Class sport Coupe experienced while this car was in production. The plant at Benz’s Juiz de Fora in Brazil where the CLC was being manufactured would effect some changes to their production line now that the production of this car is going to be stopped. Mercedes heavy-duty commercial truck named the Actros would now be built at this modified plant. It is however expected that in another two years time there should be an all new version of the CLC once again to hit the market with the US dealerships once again to be kept out of the loop.
