Mercedes Benz has added a new feather to its cap when they were judged as the vehicle with top ownership satisfaction. Never before has this credit been received by any other company than ones in Japan. It was Toyota, Honda and Daihastu that has been bagging this honor since 2002 to 2009. The award is judged by JD Power and Associates.
Mercedes picked up 838 points out of the total of 1000 points during the 2010 survey that was carried out and published on June 24. Quality, reliability and appeal were the factors that Mercedes ran away from others in point scoring. The senior manager of J.D. Power and associates, Martin Volk stated about the ranking as “requires an in-depth understanding of customer expectations and how to implement targeted improvement measures aimed at minimizing deficiencies in terms of the product and dealer service.”
He also added that for Mercedes-Benz owner’s reputation of the company for quality and reliability has been a major factor in their decision to purchase this car. For owners to be happy about their purchase their expectations needs to be surpassed by the company and this has been done by Mercedes is what Volk said the survey and ranking had brought out.
