Mid cycle facelift of the Mercedes Benz C Class W204 is due in the first half of next year. This car has been on sale since 2007 with great success. Spy shots received of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate post facelift indicates that there is not going to be many changes to the car by looks. It would be minor changes like new bumper headlight and wheels that would be effected on the car.
There is however an expected many a change effected to the interior of the car as well as the mechanical systems of the car. These would be aimed at improving the efficiency of the car to bring the C Class at par with the rest of Mercedes Benz manufactured fuel efficient cars.
There is strong possibility of some innovative engines also to figure in these cars. There has been the presence of the twin turbocharged 5.5 liter V8 that was disclosed recently and fitted on the C63 AMG. There could also be some direct injection and turbocharged engines as well as a Blutec diesel engine along with some innovative stop start systems incorporated.
These changes are expected to affect all the C Class models and there would also be the inclusion of a new model altogether that is the new C-Class Coupe.
The Estate Wagging is not coming to the US and this is confirmed by Mercedes-Benz spokesperson when talking to Car Connection. Probably the reason is that the C Class wagon which was sold in the US from 2002 to 2005 never had any sales of note. The US would rather get larger models of the 2011 E-Class Estate.
