Tesla Motors has decided to jump the bandwagon of the growing all-electric vehicles by launching vehicles in this segment in coming years. The company is already planning to launch Tesla Model S in European markets in later half of this year and Tesla Model X SUV to enter production stage somewhere in 2014-2015.
Tesla’s boss George Blankenship was pretty keen on entering the EV market with the second generation Tesla Roadster. He even stated that the gen-next Tesla Roadster will radically improve the performance as compared to the original one. The original car can accelerate to 62 mph in less than 4 seconds and a range of 200 miles.
The company has also tested Model S saloon with acceleration capability of 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and a range of 300 miles.
