Opel has disclosed its plans to introduce the Adam R2 rally car concept at the Geneva Motor Show.
The plan will meet FIA R2 specifications, and it is based on the Adam Cup and is described as dynamic, elegant and eye catching.
The Adam R2 is covered in an OPC body kit and has a quick release top as well as a roof-mounted scoop and lightweight racing wheels. There’s also a sport-tuned suspension and Brembo brakes. The interior has Sparco racing seats, a roll cage and a digital instrument cluster. The cabin also features an electric fire extinguisher and a MONIT trip computer.
Power will come from a 1.6-liter EcoTec engine that gives 185 HP (136 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a five-speed sequential transmission which motivates the front-wheels through a limited- slip differential.
It is also learned the company has got plans in the design as well as the development part of the Adam R2 later this year.
