by SpeedLux

The first Opel Cascada has come out of the production process at the company’s plant in Poland.

With its sale about to happen in April, the Cascada has made Opel to get back to the mid-size convertible segment. In order to attract as many customers as possible, the model will be highly changeable as it offers ten exterior colors, 3 roof colors and nine alloy wheels in sizes ranging from 17- to 20-inches. It also has four different trim levels, three infotainment systems and a variety of high-end options.

As far Engines are concerned four different engines are available and they are A 1.4-liter Turbo with outputs of 120 HP (88 kW) and 140 HP (103 kW). A 1.6-litre SIDI Turbo with 170 HP (125 kW), A 2.0-liter CDTI ecoFLEX with 165 HP (121 kW), A 2.0-litre BiTurbo CDTI ecoFLEX with 195 HP (143 kW).

Opel Board chairman said today is a really special day, not only for the plant, but also for Opel. The Cascada is the next big thing in our product line up. After the ADAM and the Mokka, Cascada is the next in line with which we are now reaching customers in segments where we have not yet been present.
