Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance awards Ferrari 375 MM Scaglietti Coupe 1954, the best

by SpeedLux

The Ferrari 375 MM Scaglietti Coupe, 1954 received ‘Best in Show’ award at ‘Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance’, 2014. It was a special event for more than 1 reason. The 1954 Coupe has made a record of being the first Ferrari model as well as the oldest car from the post-World War era to win the award ever since the event was first organised in 1950. It was custom-made for Roberto Rossellini, the Italian film director. It was 1 of the only 5 variants of 375 MM racer models permitted on regular roads.

The model is owned by Jon Shirley, who is a car collector and has the unique model since 1995. He has earned the top prize at the Concours d’Elegance for his Alfa Berlinetta of 1983 in 2008.
