Porsche Macan configurator now available, base model is 300 USD more expensive than base Cayenne

by SpeedLux

Porsche North America has recently uploaded the online configurator for the 2014 Macan crossover.

One of the main reasons for this new Macan was to offer a more affordable alternative to the larger Cayenne. However, the Macan S kicks off from 49,900 USD which is 300 USD pricier compared to its larger sibling. If you opt for Macan Turbo, the pricing increases to 72,300 USD and if you go for the Aurum Metallic paint, be ready to pay an extra 3,120 USD.

List of optional goodies include the panoramic roof, ParkAssist with Reversing Camera, front and rear stainless steel skid plates, thermal- and noise-insulating privacy glass and 21-inch 911 Turbo design wheels. The most expensive part is a Burmester surround sound system which will cost 4,290 USD, while ticking all of the available boxes, the Macan Turbo will cost you 112,000 USD.

In other parts of the world, the car will start from 57,930 EUR in Germany while in United Kingdom the model kicks off from 43,300 GBP. Although the Macan is more expensive than the Cayenne, Porsche has plans of launching four-cylinder gasoline and diesel Macans in future which will make the model cheaper in future.
