RenaultSport Technologies recently made an announcement that the company is planning to expand RS lineup as per the report from Auto Express.
As per the report, Patrice Ratti, RenaultSport Technologies Head, has plans for coming up with four to five models in the coming four to five years in this lineup. The RS program may include versions of the Clio, Megane, Twingo and Captur; but not much detail was revealed by him.
The company recently made an announcement that their models may not have manual transmissions anymore and may feature next-generation Megane RS instead.
The company might also look into the idea of selling the RS models in the emerging markets which is on the basis of the success received by the company after the lineup’s launch in Japan and Australia. The sales in the non-Europe market were rated at significant 30 percent. Also this will help company to expand the market and customer base.
