It has never happened in the history of the British automaker, Rolls-Royce, to build a crossover. However, that is about to change as the British company has now officially announced its plan to do just that. Yes, we can all expect to see a crossover vehicle model from Rolls-Royce sometime soon.
This information has been extracted from an open letter sent by the British car manufacturer in question. In the letter, Peter Schwarzenbauer, the Chairman of Rolls-Royce, and Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes, the CEO of the British automaker, have actually made it clear that Rolls-Royce is in fact preparing an entirely new vehicle model. It is said that this new vehicle model will be offering an exceptional purpose, elegance and presence.
In spite of the fact that the car will come in the form of a crossover, the aforementioned company executives do not really seem to be keen on calling the model as a crossover. Instead, they are referring to the upcoming crossover as a car with a high body and the ability to cross just about any terrains out there. The British automaker also goes as far as to say that the upcoming vehicle model is going to be an extremely luxurious vehicle and that it deserves the Spirit of Ecstasy into the future.
Unfortunately, the British automaker is still trying to keep its lips tightly sealed when it comes to the possible launch date of the vehicle. Nonetheless, the company does confirm that the upcoming crossover from the Great Britain will benefit from an architecture that is completely made of the aluminum material.
