Saab 9-5 CC in the making

The brand new Saab 9-5 has commenced on sales and it hardly has any odds to grow into a much-acknowledged model. After all not just everyone can afford to own blessing car from Audi, BMW, or Mercedes. Besides, models like Volvo S80 have also lost their grip over the American market while the Cadillac is a tag more for the American bazaar.

The next in the sequel to the sedan version is a station-version as expected. Nevertheless, how would you react if you discovered Saab offering a CC i.e. Combi-Coupe version? A return of the legendary five entrances Saab 99 from 1978. This is Saab’s answer to models like Audi A5/A7 Sportback, the BMW 5-Series GT, and the Citroën C6. However, the production version will not be disclosed until 2013-2014.

A 2.0-liter quaternary-cylinder longitudinally mounted engine coupled with a four-speed gearbox supercharged the Combi Coupe. The engine delivered a power level of 100 HP. The Saab 99 Combi Coupe was introduced into the US souk in 1974 and the production was continued to remain until 1978.
