Japanese car maker Suzuki has recently introduced a five-door version of the Swift Sport for the markets of the United Kingdom.
In fact just a couple of days back the company had launched the Swift 4×4 in the UK and now they are back with a bang with a new five-door variant of the Swift Sport. The model has been priced from 14,249 GBP which makes it 500 GBP more expensive than the three-door model.
The new variant comes with twin tailpipes (one on the either side of the rear diffuser) and can be had with one of the following available paint schemes: Silky Silver, Cool White Pearl, Boost Blue Pearl and Cosmic Black Pearl.
Talking about the power, the output comes from the same 1.6-liter VVT Euro 5-compliant engine which can generate 136 HP (100 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) or torque at 4,400 rpm. The engine is well connected to a six-speed manual transmission gearbox. The Suzuki Swift Sport five-door can return 44.1 mpg UK (36.7 mpg US or 6.4 liters / 100 km) with CO2 emissions of 147 g/km.
The company seems to be in some hurry and wants to ensure that they get the market share at the earliest possible opportunity. Well let’s see the response of the customers and whether the same is able to create some impact.
