Techart tunes the Porsche 911 Turbo S to 620 HP

by SpeedLux

Well known car designer TechArt has comes up with a new tuning package for the Porsche 911 Turbo S.

Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, the 911 Turbo S can be equipped with a TA 091/T1.1 power kit which enables the turbocharged 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine to generate an output of 620 HP (456 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque. This revised output is an increase of 60 HP (44 kW) and 130 Nm (96 lb-ft) of torque as compared to the standard model.

This tuned output enables the model to achieve the acceleration from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in 2.8 seconds and will go on to hit a top speed of 328 kmph (203 mph). This again is an increase of 0.3 seconds and 10 kmph (6 mph) respectively compared to the standard version.

The power boost only kicks in when the car is in Sport or Sport Plus mode and TechArt also claims that buyers can expect a significant increase of performance and driving dynamics.

The tuner did not reveal the pricing of the kit but if the same comes within an affordable range, surely the speed lovers would like to go for it and enjoy better performance features.
