Tesla is set to deliver 15 all-electric semis to PepsiCo by the end of this year.
PepsiCo issued a press release claiming that the company has reduced diesel usage by 78 Percent at California Production Site. The release entailing the steps it has taken to slash GHG emissions by 53%.
One way the company has done this so far is by replacing the equipment and infrastructure at the California plant. PepsiCo has used almost 60 tractors, box trucks, yard trucks, or forklifts powered by electric, lithium-ion technologies or natural gas with renewable attributes.
Furthermore, the company revealed that the rest of 15 electric tractors expected to deploy later this year.
PepsiCo has reportedly confirmed that about 15 Tesla Semi electric trucks will join its fleet by the end of this year.
