Tesla Model S P100D was referred as the fastest production car by CEO Elon Musk when it was first released. The brand stated the automobile will do 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds, finishing a quarter mile in just 10.78 seconds.
And now Tesla has stepped it up a notch with Model S’ advancement and the P100D is much faster than ever.
Post a software upgrade, P100D now comes up with a new Ludicrous+ Mode that moves the vehicle from 0-60 miles an hour in 2.4 seconds.
Musk posted on Twitter previously this month declaring a shorter time of 2.34 seconds was possible as well.
With this latest upgrade, the P100D’s quarter mile time enhanced as well. In a recent video launched by DragTimes, the car posted a formal 1/4 mile time of simply 10.72 seconds at the Palm Beach International Raceway located in Florida.
The video reveals a Model S P100D pitted against a 2017 640HP Cadillac CTS-V, and the Model S would set a new world record for the fastest stock 4 door sedan.
The former world record stood at 10.76 seconds.
