Tesla to offer a high-speed Model S

by SpeedLux

Tesla has recently announced its plans to offer an upgraded Model S in Germany.

Speaking at a recent presentation in Munich, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the company will offer a high-speed tuning program that will enable the Model S to travel at faster speeds on the Autobahn. The executive further said that he was going to send his top engineering team to tune it just right for the German roads. He further claimed that post this tuning it will feel really great at top speed once all the modifications are done to the model.

The executive however declined to give any details about the specifics, but did mention that the high-speed tuning program will be free on new and pre-existing models. Musk also revealed that Germany will have the second highest number of Superchargers outside of the U.S. and in fact the highest number of Superchargers per capita. The first six are already under the construction phase and he was confident that by the end of next year everyone in Germany will be within range of a Supercharger.

Great way to go Tesla! Hopefully the plans work out as desired and it should reap rich benefits to the company.
