Tesla Roadster 3.0 Battery Upgrade Costs $29,000

Tesla Motors has developed a new battery pack for the Roadster 3.0. With the new battery pack, the roadster will have 40% more power and can travel for non stop for up to 330 miles. The original battery is a 56 KW/h battery that can travel up to 245 miles. The Roadster 3.0 battery upgrade comes at a price tag of $29,000. To reserve the battery pack, customers have to put a deposit of at least $5,000. Customers can pay the balance after the battery has been installed in the car. The new battery upgrade will slightly increase the weight of the car.

Tesla claimed that they did not make any profit in the new battery pack. The reason why the battery is expensive is because they will be help you in the entire installation process.

This include removing the old battery and changing the power electronics module in your roadster. The expensive cost is also attributed to the fact that it is entirely handmade and only a small number of batteries are produced every week. Tesla Motors only produce about 2 – 3 batteries per week. The battery pack is completely handmade. Apart from upgrading the battery pack, Tesla has also improve other aspects of the Roadster 3.0 including the tires and braking system.
