Tesla Inc will hold its yearly shareholder meeting in person on September 22 at its Fremont factory located in California, the electric automaker said on Friday.
The company’s “Battery Day”, where it is expected to introduce significant advances in battery technology will also be held on the same day, the automaker said.
CEO Elon Musk said last month the shareholder meeting would tentatively be held on September 15.
The meeting was initially scheduled for July 7, which was pushed to a later date after stay-at-home orders imposed due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Tesla has been dealing with pressure from shareholder advisory firms, Glass Lewis and ISS, against the re-election of Chairwoman Robyn Denholm over issues regarding corporate governance and her leadership.
