Tesla Motors Inc. CEO Elon Musk has relocated to quash doubts that reservations for the electric-car maker’s Model 3 may be pumped up.
A contributor to the site Seeking Alpha told recently he had submitted 20 reservations for the Model 3, the all-electric sedan Tesla intends to offer in late 2017. Tesla TSLA, -3.92 % had actually restricted the preorders to 2 per client.
Musk tweeted that several orders have been purged:
@MrBoylan Duplicates will be cancelled. Max of 2 will be delivered to any one person. Only ~5% of orders are 2, so speculation unlikely.
