The new Audi A5 DTM will be presented at the DTM finale at Hockenheim this weekend. The first public appearance of the 460-HP race car will come a month after it was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Tom Kristensen, Audi factory driver, will present the Audi A5 DTM to fans. Mr. Kristensen is an eight-time Le Mans winner and a former DTM racer. He will be driving a show lap with the brand new coupe before and after the race on Sunday.
Many Attractions
The presentation of the new Audi A5 DTM is just one of the many attractions at the DTM finale on Sunday. Also at the event, motorsports and soccer will come together as an Audi R8 LMS sporting the colors of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim will serve as a taxi during the finale. Teams coach Holger Stanislawski, national player Andreas Beckans and goalkeeper Tom Starke will all appear at the race track as passengers in the Audi R8 LMS. Also at Hockenheim on Sunday, new DTM Champion, Martin Tomczyk, will give a personal guided tour to Udo Weber.
Celebrities at the Hockenheim Finale
The DTM Finale at Hockenheim will also be a star-studded event with prominent guests slated to make an appearance. Hip hop artist and Fanta4 member Smudo together with partner Nintendo will be there to cheer for Audi. Other celebrities expected to keep their fingers crossed for Audi include actors Manfred Krug and Till Demtrøder.
Also on Sunday, the garage of Audi factory driver Mike Rockenfeller will play host to the handball team that includes 2007 World Champion Oliver Roggisch as well as many other national players. The Rhein-Neckar-Löwen (Lions) will also visit Audi at the weekend finale.
Successful gymnast Magdalena Brzeska, TV host Andrea Kaiser and her husband, former football player and Champion’s League winner Lasr Ricken will also be in attendance at Hockenheim.
