Two dead after crash between car and train in New Tecumseth

Two people died after a crash between a car and a train on Thursday night in New Tecumseth, Ontario.

The crash took happened on the 5th Line around 11 p.m. There were about four people in the car when it crashed.

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the other three occupants were admitted to a Toronto trauma centre in serious condition; two by air ambulance, and one by land ambulance.

Police say one of the occupants died in the hospital while the other two are still hospitalized.

The road was closed after the crash. It was later reopened.

It is still yet to be known that what caused the crash.
