It is an inevitable fact that not much news is shaping up in respect to the next generation Tiguan vehicle model from the German automaker, Volkswagen. Nonetheless, in spite of that, there has been a report quite lately which indicates that the next generation variant of the vehicle is going to make bow at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. This auto expo will kick off come September this year.
So far, there are only a handful of spy photos available out there that depict the car in its 2016 model year guise, albeit in its prototype version. Yet, as officially pointed out by the German company’s executives, the car will look not only aggressive but also phenomenal. Well, that is something we have yet to see for real. Nonetheless, the vehicle is going to come with three different body styles altogether for keen buyers to choose from. These body styles will include a long wheelbase body style, a regular body style and ultimately, a 5-door coupe body style, with the latter being the most stylish option to avail.
The German automaker in question, Volkswagen, is still keeping the rest of the information in respect to the car discreet. So, only a little bit of things is really known about the car at the moment. As for the things known for sure about the vehicle, for one, the vehicle will reportedly be built using the company’s MQB platform. This will enable VW to shed some pounds off the weight of the vehicle’s predecessor. Designed to be a crossover, as reported by the Auto Motor und Sport, the 2016 VW Tiguan is likely to have three engine options available and these options will seemingly be carried over from one of the company’s bestselling vehicle models, the Volkswagen Golf.
