Cigarette Racing and Mercedes-Benz Tease an AMG GT S Boat

by SpeedLux

The AMG division of the luxury automaker from Germany, Mercedes-Benz, has teamed up with the Cigarette Racing Team in building something very special. They have come up with a cool product that is not a car but a boat instead, mind you! Both companies are planning to show off the vehicle, in its concept guise, for the very first time ever when the Miami International Boat Show kicks off on February 12, 2015. The vehicle will be known as the Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S.

Judging by the sketch image released by both companies, it is obvious that the boat borrows plenty of styling cues from the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S vehicle model. The boat will most likely come wrapped in a yellow paint job for its exterior body panel. Other components that will most likely make appearance on the boat as well include a prominent AMG badge, a Mercedes-Benz badge and also a rakish windscreen.

So far, there is really nothing much to tell about the boat just yet. However, if the boat is inspired by the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S, we may as well be looking at a vehicle that runs on a 4.0L V8 engine with twin turbochargers. For the vehicle counterpart, the luxury German sports car delivers 510 PS of power and 650 Nm of torque. The car is also mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) system. Thanks to such an engine configuration, it is a piece of cake for the car to reach the speed of 100 km/h from a completely stationary position in no more than 3.7 seconds.

Well, taking into account that the Miami International Boat Show will take place only next month, it seems that we will not have to wait for too long now to see the vehicle making its global debut.
