VUHL secures enough orders to put the 05 into production

by SpeedLux

There is some great news for race car loves and it is in the form of announcement made by VUHL that their 05 sports car will be going into production in November.

VUHL Automotive director Guillermo Echeverria stated that their aim for Goodwood was quite specific – to accrue enough orders for a batch of 20 ‘Edition One’ (which are top specification) models. He further stated that the company has already received serious enquiries for the model from the UK, central Europe, USA and Mexico, and they are very well on the way to achieving that and may be even more. He stated that the first delivery will take place in spring next year.

Just to recap about this model, the 05 comes fitted with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that can generate 285 hp (212 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is further connected to a six-speed manual transmission which enables the 725 kg (1,598 lbs) roadster to achieve the sprint of 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds and comes with a top speed of 245 kmph (152 mph).

Currently, the company is accepting orders and the pricing kicks off from £ 55,000 (approx. $86,225 / €64,505).
