An Italian automaker known as ATS seems to have a nice offering to the car enthusiasts out there. The company has recently taken the wraps off its new vehicle, the 2500 GT. The car is currently making its debut at the Top Marques event in Monte Carlo. The Italian marquee is actually a renewed marquee and the 2500 GT is actually the company’s first model ever since 1962. The new car features a modern yet classic visual design on the exterior. Yet, as for the interior, customers will find a combination of the retro and sporty themes. As ATS puts it, the car is equipped with technical solutions that are ‘worthy of a racecar’.
This latest vehicle from the Italian company is the result of the design work performed by Emanuele Bomboi. It has two seats, features an athletic silhouette and looks highly distinctive compared to most of other today’s modern cars in existence out there. Heck, the car even comes with a monocoque chassis made of the carbon fiber material. This chassis is put together with carbon exterior panels, honeycomb panels and also a roll cage. On both the front and rear ends of the vehicle, the car has its underbody panels made of the aluminum material.
As for performance, the car gains its power from a naturally aspirated V8 engine. This engine develops no less than 640 PS of power output in total. To move the vehicle, the engine will send power to the rear wheels with the assistance of a 6-speed manual transmission. A limited slip differential is also available.
The Italian automaker claims that the ATS 2500 GT will have no problem going from a completely still position to reach the speed of 100 km/h within only 2.9 seconds. That, people, is more than just, as you can see. If that is not enough, the car can also reach a top speed of 340 km/h.
