2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

by Site Default

Chevrolet presented their 2012 Camaro ZL1 at the Denver auto show. Judging by the specifications and performance, it sounds like the Shelby Mustang has got some serious problems, but some of the Europeans two door coupes could also be in danger of being replaced.

Powered by a 6.2L supercharged V8 that produces 580 horsepower and an amazing torque of 754 Nm. It hits 184 mph at accelerates from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds. The transmission is a six-speed automatic which comes in two modes: Sport and Manual. So that the car’s amazing power doesn’t get lost, it is managed by multiple electronic systems, like Performance Traction Management or the third generation of Magnetic Ride Control.

The fuel consumption on this car is amazing for such a powerful engine: it gets 30 mpg on the highway!

Needless to say, the exterior design is just brilliant. It expresses everything this car has to say, and it’s also a head-turner. The car vibrates with power and has a kind of “dangerous” look from the front.

The interior doesn’t have anything out of the ordinary. The back seats could have had more leg room.

The base price is $55,000. This car will probably be one of the best muscle cars out there, and maybe even better than some two-door sport coupes.
