Chevrolet has recently announced its plans to offer a Silverado Texas Edition to pay tribute to the lone star state.
Designed to recognize the strong bond between the people of Texas and their trucks, the Texas Edition comes with features such as a body color trim, a locking rear differential, a trailering package and a massive 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. Talking of the top-of-the-line LTZ Texas Edition it would have additional chrome accents and a Bose audio system.
Depending on the model selected, the Texas Edition will be powered by either a 4.3-liter V6 engine with output of 285 hp (212 kW) or a 5.3-liter V8 engine with 355 hp (250 kW).
The Silverado Texas Edition will be available exclusively in the state of Texas, but other states will receive an optional Custom Sport package that offers similar equipment.
