For anyone waiting eagerly for Aston Martin to release its special edition Vantage GT3 model, they may as well watch the car in action in the adjacent video. Yes, the luxury automotive marquee from the Great Britain has now eventually released an official video that showcases what the car can potentially do. Needless to say, the vehicle model in question is an extraordinary car, to say the least.
To begin with, the car is very light thanks to the use of lightweight components. When compared to the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is lighter by a hundred kilograms, no less. The car makes use of such components as a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber roof, lithium-ion battery, carbon fiber door casings and also a polycarbonate rear windshield. In addition, the car sits firmly on a set of forged alloy wheels measuring 19 inches in diagonal. For the sake of enhanced performance, the car has its wheels wrapped in the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Yet, when it comes to decelerating, the car counts on a set of carbon ceramic disc brakes from Brembo, which happens to be one of the best brake manufacturing companies in the world.
Under the hood, the car hides a 6.0L V12 engine which spits out 600 HP of total power output and 625 Nm of total torque. Power is sent to the wheels of the vehicle by means of a 7-speed automated manual gearbox. Thanks to this configuration, the car can go from 0 to 100 km/h within only 3.7 seconds, with its top speed rated at the mark of 297 km/h.
As it turns out, the engineers at the luxury British car maker have also successfully managed to implement magnesium inlet manifolds, a limited slip differential system, carbon fiber propeller shaft and even specially track-tuned suspension, with the latter taking advantage of revised springs and dampers.
On the interior, the car features a carbon fiber stack featuring touch-sensitive kind of controls, to begin with. In addition to that, the car also has an onboard infotainment system with GPS navigation system, carbon fiber sport seats, leather wrapped door pull straps and a steering wheel wrapped in the Alcantara leather material.
According to the British marquee, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will not be built for more than a hundred units and that delivery is expected to commence in the third quarter this year. Unfortunately enough for the citizens of US and China, however, they will not have access to the vehicle. This is shocking, particularly in case of the Chinese market. It is unknown why Aston Martin is not planning to make the Vantage GT3 available for the Chinese market, considering it is the largest automotive market in the world today.
