The first official pictures of the compact sedan’s cabin are available on the internet especially for those curious minds who have been wondering what it would be like in the interiors of the all-new 2011 Hyundai Elantra. The compact sedan is known, in its home market, as the Avante MD.
The dashboard continues to be designed as was expected. The same “sculpted” theme as was first seen in the new Sonata seems to have been rolled out on the new Elanta’s interior as well, though enhanced with sharp edges and pouncy lines. An instrument panel along with a pair of tunneled main gauges including speedometer and tachometer are featured in the dashboard. The compact sedan’s dashboard also consists of unique controls for the HVAC system on the center console and plenty of faux metal trim.
Launched in South Korea, the new Elantra come loaded with Hyundai’s new 1.6-liter direct straight four injection petrol engine. The Hyundai’s new 1.6 liter engine delivers over 140 HP and 166 Nm or 122 lb-ft of torque levels. The sedan is reported to be priced ranging between 14,900,000 Won and 19,500,000 Won which estimates at about US$12,300 to $16,100.
