The crave among teenagers for cars has passed through the waves of time. First it was the Miura which held their rapt attention all through the 70’s. Then arrived the Countach, which ruled through the 80’s followed by the Diablo. Now they have their eyes set on the Murciélago. A gift item by the erstwhile Lambi now owned by Audi, this car has AWD standard but is as competitive as all its previous genres.
Lamborghini is well known for naming its cars after some famous fighting bull. The name of its next and latest car is yet to be announced, but it could well be guessed to follow the same line of naming as with their previous cars. The Murciélago, had got its name from the famous bull that came through 245 sword strokes of the matador that fought the bull in 1879. Such was the brave heart of the bull that the matador had finally decided to spare the life of the bull which is considered to be a rare honor that a matador ever confers on the bull. The bull was also gifted by Lamborghini themselves to a noted breeder by name Don Antonio Miura. The bull went on to produce many more fine and famous fighting bulls.
The design of the car is expected to hold a V12 engine mounted in the traditional LP fashion (that is Longitudinale Posteriore, Italian for “rear longitudinally-mounted) with an increased displacement of 7.o liters. This should also result in increased power of up to 700 bhp. As in all other recent cars from Audi the transmission can also be expected to be AWD.
