Earlier we had seen the BMW M5 sports sedan being tested and having a pit stop during the testing. However, off late new actual footage of the M5 is available over the internet on the tracks at Nurburgring. If you remember, the M5 sedan was on the rumor wheels some time back as the most memorable M5 until today. Perhaps, it is that good.
At the 2011 Geneva Motor show the first “M5 Concept” version is likely to be showcased. This concept version will closely match the production edition in as much as both are likely to be identical. The production edition of the M5 will make its debut at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show. The sedan will soon be available for sale in Europe and US. However, the deliveries will not begin until November 2011. On the other hand, the US buyers of the M5 will not be able to get the car before the spring of 2012.
The M5 is going to be an eco-friendly car with reduced CO2 emission levels. The new CO2 emission is likely to be over 25 percent lesser than its current version. The production edition of the M5 will be powered by a twin turbocharged 4.4 L V-8 engine. The V8 power plant would produce in excess of 555 hp. At these new power levels, the sedan will supersede the older versions in terms of power and sheer performance. The automotive explodes from the industry firmly believe that the new M5 will be featuring an aluminum chassis along with several other carbon fiber parts. The automotive experts also believe the new M5 sports vehicle will also feature an electronically controlled limited slip differential along with Dynamic Performance Control.
