Chevrolet has released teaser trailer video and some images of its new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7. Chevrolet has officially announced that it will unveil 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 globally at the Detroit Auto Show on 13th January, 2013. It is also known as C7 by its fans.
The new image of 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 reveals almost nothing about the car so the anticipations will definitely not be suppressed especially by the fans. Yet, according to the recent reports, the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 is powered by 6.2-litre LT1 V-8 engine that will deliver a total of 450 hp at 6,000 rpm and 450 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm — an increase of 20 hp and 26 pound-feet of torque over the current V-8 engine.
Chevrolet explains about the performance of the car:
“Every line, every vent, every millimeter performs,” said one of the car’s designers.
Chevrolet reports that they are working carefully on its design so that it reaches to the optimal aerodynamic performance.
“The front grill and radiator flow paths reduce lift, improving vehicle stability at high speeds by keeping the car pressed to the pavement. In addition, functional vents increase track capability by channeling air to the brakes, as well as heat exchangers for the transmission and differential,” said chief engineer Tadge Juechter in a statement.
Further, it will be equipped with a long and wide hood, wide rear fenders, a sharply sloping rear window, and a quartet of rectangular taillights. However, Chevrolet has made it clear that the C6 and its new C7 will share two special components: an air filter and a latch.
The price of 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 will be disclosed near to its launch.
