2014 Toyota Supra: True or Untrue?

The speculations regarding the building of a successor to the venerable Supra are already getting old, which means we’re getting bored. But fresh rumours always appear, making us hold on to the idea of the new car’s appearence. Because it will need a new look. Speculative rendering have appeared, obviously, and the only thing we can do is hope they are as accurate as possible.

The classic RWD’s dimensions of the Supra have been modified by the designer Andreas Fougner, inspired by the Scion FR-S and Lexus LFA, without exagerating the influence. This version of the car’s design is particularly ravishing if viewed from the side, having the C-pillar wrapped around into the body of the vehicle, which is very similar to what was attempted on the FT-HS Concept pulled into a rear end that was inspired by both the Mk4 Supra and the Audi R8.

“My goal with this concept was to try and keep the DNA of the Supra mk4 but still create something new and fresh,” says Fougner.

If this project will manage to succeed, we should expect the engine to be a turbo V6 powertrain on a RWD platform.
Hoping for the best, and expecting to see something more that rumours, renderings and ideas.
