2015 Acura NSX prototype hits the track

by SpeedLux

The Acura NSX is pretty near to the production phase as the company has recently released a Vine of the model undergoing testing.

Though the latest clip does not reveal much about the model, it does suggest that Acura is gearing up for a massive social media campaign ahead of the prototype’s debut at the Mid-Ohio Indy 200 to be held on 4th August.

Not much detail is available about the prototype currently, but we believe more details would be available out once the social media campaign is launched this weekend. However the prototype very much resembles the updated NSX concept which debuted at the North American International Motor Show earlier this year.

In spite of being quite similar to the updated NSX concept, the new 2014 Acura NSX comes with various distinguishing features that include new headlights, larger mirrors, restyled air intakes and prominent #AcuraNSX badging.

The company has been coy on powertrain details but previously also confirmed that the model will have a mid-mounted V6 engine and a Sport Hybrid Super Handling All Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system that will come fitted with two electric motors that power the front wheels and another motor that is integrated into a dual-clutch transmission.
