Acura launches a smoother self-driving test car

Recently, Acura presented its 2nd generation Automated Acura RLX Development Vehicle with upgraded sensors and a more pleasing visual.

Gone is the spinning LIDAR system changed with a more compact and robust variation of the light detection and ranging technology. It’s likewise got upgraded RADAR, video camera, GPS and greater GPUs and CPUs along with what Acura is calling to be more intelligent software application algorithms to support more complex testing circumstances.

Acura and its parent firm Honda have been testing autonomous cars at its GoMentum Station located in the Bay Area from last year with a specially furnished RLX (displayed in the video listed below with the spinning LIDAR system). This new vehicle will replace that automobile.
