The Lotus Elise S Cup has been unveiled, costing about £43,500 roadgoing model of the previously declared track-only Elise Cup R.
The Elise S Cup has substantial editions to the front splitter, diffuser and rear wing, which brings up to an increase in downforce of more than 1500% at highest pace compared to the actual Elise S. The Elise S Cup can notably fight the Lotus test track more than 3 seconds quicker than the standard Elise S.
Lotus is hoping the car at driving fanatics who are looking forward to an effective racer at competition-level track days.
It means that the car has also been having a full rollover hoop with wiring editions to allow a fire extinguisher program and electrical kill switch that has to be retrofitted. The Elise S Cup is also completed with matt black detailing on the diffuser, rollover hoop as well as fixed hard top roof. Extra sound insulation and a radio are also brought as options.
Lotus suggest that the Elise S Cup is the most track-focused roadgoing Elise for now. Buyers can also add FIA agreed race seats, four-point safety harnesses or satin black alloy wheels.
The features list means that the Elise S Cup can be turned into a full track racer or be considered as more of a road car which is up to the buyer’s preference.
