A fresh batch of spy images depicting the 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLC (name not official) has been revealed on the web recently.
Internally codenamed as the C190, the vehicle will be smaller than the outgoing SLS AMG and will come with doors rather than the gullwing arrangement of its larger cousin. These latest spy images show a prototype wearing a full body camo but still we can see the vehicle’s sleek appearance with a long hood, large front grille, a dual exhaust arrangement at the rear where there’s also an electronically-controlled rear spoiler which will be deployed at speeds exceeding 75 mph (121 kmph).
Talking about dimensions, the SLC / C190 will reportedly measure 4500mm long which means it is 140mm shorter than the aforementioned SLS, while retaining just about the same width and height. All signs point to a newly developed V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine shared with the next-gen C63 AMG with an estimated output of 493 hp (327 kW) wrapped in a body weighing about 3,417 lbs (1,550 kg).
The Mercedes-Benz SLC is expected to be shown at Formula 1 German Grand Prix this year which will take place on July 20 at Hockenheim.
