Shelby has often proven to be one of the most favorite muscle sports cars ever, especially for car fans in the US. People have often anticipated the next generation variants of the car for years. The same also applies for the 2015 model year of the Shelby. Well, while there is actually no official word yet, the 2015 Shelby GT has actually been spotted naked. Now, there is already a picture available for those who have interest in viewing what the car will actually look like.
This picture is the courtesy of Chris Cantle, who happens to work at the Road & Track team. As it turned out, Cantle had the chance to take one – or perhaps even more – shot of the next generation Shelby during his travel in order to attend the press event held by Ducati at the Palm Springs not so long ago. Paying close attention to the picture, it will be possible to notice that the 2015 Shelby GT is going to have its engine hood heavily modified. However, that is just a start. The car will also be treated with a new radiator grille finished in the silver color.
According to the latest reports, customers interested in the car will be able to choose from two variants. There are going to be SC and GT versions. The GT version, in this case, looks like the ultimate choice. This is even the case with the predecessor. With no less than 624 hp of power output, the engine can take the car from 0 to 60 in just 3.7 seconds. On top of that, it does not take the car more than mere eleven seconds to reach the mark of a quarter mile. Taking into consideration that even the previous generation of the Shelby GT is capable of offering such a high speed and power output, there are more than enough reasons to believe that the new generation version will have even more to offer.
