Chevrolet has recently launched its new decked up model of the Silverado 2016 model year. The first change that can be observed is the shaved-off chrome detailing and an installment of reshaped fog lights which benefit from LED technology. The hood of the car seems to have gone through immense modification and looks heftier than its predecessor. Moreover, the font bumper doesn’t look as massive as the previous one. According to the company reports, strong interest in midsize Colorados and Silverados has increased the pickup sales of Chevrolet by 32%. Since the launch of the Silverado 1500 in the year 2013, Silverado sales have increased more than 10% each year and in the first half of 2015, Silverado sales have grown by 14.6%.
The most exciting modification of the Silverado is the latest generation of the MyLink infotainment system with support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The company plans to expand this variant with a new Silverado is which will offer a 8-speed automatic transmission. It is said that additional information will be available this fall prior to the model’s public debut. Official news on the powerstrain isn’t out yet however we’re guessing that the Silverado 2016 will have a 5.3-liter V-8 engine. The company said, the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will not have the dual unit headlights as in the current version and the overall look will be more muscular.
