It is an inevitable fact that nearly all car manufacturers from all parts of the globe are trying to grab some attention at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, an automotive exhibition event that is often referred to as the Detroit Auto Show as well. Well, among those automakers is a luxury automaker from the United Kingdom, Jaguar. The company has now officially unveiled its XE for the 2016 model year at the said auto expo.
The car can be seen featuring quite an attractive look on the exterior. To begin with, it has a pair of headlamps with a sweptback design surrounding its front grille, which looks pretty prominent as well. In addition to that, the front fascia of the vehicle is also enhanced even further thanks to a pair of air intakes that are large in size. Thankfully, the attractiveness is visible not only on the front part of the car but also on other parts. It comes with a flowing body design as well as a quite attractively looking roofline.
Switching from the exterior to the interior side of the vehicle, buyers of the car will be treated with such amenities as the Meridian audio systems which stunningly come with 15 speakers altogether, a new infotainment system dubbed the InControl and also a lot more high-tech amenities.
Unfortunately, when asked about the engine that the British automaker will be hiding beneath the engine bay of the 2016 Jaguar XE, the company prefers not to spill the beans on this one just yet. However, the company is keen enough on confirming that it plans to offer the Jaguar XE S trim with a 3.0L V6 engine, supercharged. This engine offers 340 bhp and 450 Nm of power and torque. Mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, the car will not need more than 4.9 seconds to hit the 100km/h mark and as for its top speed, expect 250 km/h.
