Ferrari might have a hybrid car in the market come 2015. This was disclosed by Ferrari boss Amadeo Felisa during an interview recently. The top Ferrari executive reiterated that the environmental regulations of the Italian government nor backing up of the European Union can force the Italian car manufacturer to send a hybrid to their dealerships.
Felisa further explained that he cannot see a logic behind forcing the company to follow the stricter emission rules and sees the emissions issue as a political one.
He reiterated that decreasing the emission level of every Ferraro will not really contribute much in saving the planet but will cost the car manufacturer a lot of money.
At the moment, Ferrari is looking into hybrids to decrease the emission of their fleet within the next decade. They are also looking into the feasibility of using hydrogen.
