Even though the new generation of the Demio was launched which was known as the Mazda2 for the markets outside of Japan, Mazda continues to give out a crossover type treatment to the older version of the car which has been named the Verisa for the Japanese market. And what comes out in the end is a tall subcompact hatch which shares a lot of similarity with the Japanese equivalent of the older generation European Ford fiesta based fusion. The car will be subjected some modest updates by the time it is ready to enter market during 2011.
This new update includes the introduction of some new and funky color for the fabric and the leather material of the seats of the car. Then there will also be a new and revised instrument panel which will feature a new fuel consumption gauge as well as a new ‘‘eco-lamp’’ which is aimed at enhancing economical driving. The hub caps will also be provided with a styling makeover while some of the models will have improved standard equipments. And the good news is the newly upgraded Verisa is already available in Japan.
