Judging by these spy pictures we’ll likely see the finished BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and if we look at these latest shots, this car is indeed nearing completion. BMW is using the design elements of its latest 6 Series to create its first foray into the four-door coupe world with this, the 6 Series Gran Coupe.
The new Gran Coupe, which will look very similar to the concept unveiled in China, retaining both its frameless door glass and distinctive LED driving lights and taillights.
We can expect, much like the 6 Series coupe, the Gran Coupe to launch in 650i guise, powered by BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, with a six-cylinder 640i model following shortly thereafter.
The car rides on the same platform as the new 5 Series and 7 Series families, and gasoline engines will include both sixes and V8s. And, “since we use the same drive architecture as the 5, 6 or 7, we are able to bring a hybrid version,” said Draeger, who was speaking at a designers’-night event.
However, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe will enter in competition with the Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7, and we’re courious to see this new sedan without all that camouflage. You can watch very recent pictures in the photo gallery below.

I do not understand why is it still wearing that hideous camouflage. I see that is finished and ready for launch so it doesn’t need it.
