The Germans from Wheelsandmore presents their weight- and performance optimized conversion of the actual Audi R8 GT, called “Supersport Edition”.
Audi’s engineers already saved about 100kgs of total weight and increased the power of the V10 aggregate up to 560hp at the limited edition with just 333 copies comparing to serial model, but it seems that this is not enough because Wheelsandmore decidet to promptly strike back.
It’s knew that more power plus reduced weight means even more lead an the German tuner took this into account.
Using this simple formula, the Wheelsandmore engineers developed a special performance package for the Audi R8GT. They have not missed anything and, as a example, not only the sound, but also the throughput and the weight of the standard exhaust system should be optimized. The result is a 40% lighter system with remote-able valve flaps, handcrafted of finest stainless steel. Combined with the specially tuned electronics the dyno testing certifies the luxury tuner brutal 611 hp and 585 Nm of torque. According to the tuner, the top speed at 335 km/h and the acceleration sprint from 0-100 km/h is now done within 3.3 seconds, so they did a pretty awesome job.
Audi R8 GT Supersport also gets a much sportier look without affecting the weight negatively compared to the serial forged wheels thanks to Wheelsandmore’s handcrafted 3-piece forged wheels.
The matte black coated lightweight wheels are sizing 9,5×20 inches in front, combined with 245/30/20 Continental Sport Contact 5P tires and 11,0×20 inches at the rear with 295/25/20 Conti tires.
Finally, perfect suspension performance is realized due to latest state-of-the-art motorsports technology from KW-Automotive within the LCS (level-control-system) hydraulic lift up system. The R8 GT Supersport Edition has also been fitted with a remote controlled hydraulic lift up system which can provide an additional 40 mm of road clearance.
Being a custom car, the price can vary a lot.
