The 2016 BAC’s Mono is a street legal drag racing style sports car based on the F-22 Raptor. The concept of the car was revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June 2015. The 2016 BAC’s Mono is equipped with a 2.5 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that can generate a maximum power of 305 bhp and 227 lb. of torque. The upgraded engine enables the car’s kerb weight to increase from 540 kg to 580 kg. The engine is powerful enough to enable the Mono to accelerate at 60 mph within 2.8 seconds. It can attain a top speed of 170 mph.

There are a number of upgrades on the 2016 model including drive by wire throttle system. The new fitment options enable the steering wheel and seat to be custom made for the owner. During the Festival of Speed, it takes about 47.9 seconds to climb the 1.16 mile route. BAC’s Mono offers good performance on road and race track. According to Neil Briggs, the product development director, the new BAC in 2016 aims to beat the road car record when it is launched in 2016. Some of the rivals are Elemental RP1, and KTM Bow. BAC only produce one car per month. You can customize your Mono in many ways including seats, steering wheels, tires and brakes.
