Volkswagen is seeing Road Safety Week 2017 with a series of sessions on road guidelines, policies, and road user behavior for classes VIII & IX students. Hubert Ebner (India) Pvt. Ltd. (HE) is the training partner for this effort which will be sustained during the year.
The program looks to increase awareness about road guidelines, policies and road user behavior among students and warn them against driving by minors. These sessions cover a range of subjects varying from standard road signs to assisting students understand necessary safety measures around walking, riding and travelling by bus. The trainees also get to communicate with Traffic Constables and Sub-Inspectors of the Pune Traffic Police Branch, Pune.
Started as a part of HE’s Prayas program, a multi-city training for teaching and non-teaching personnel, trainees and guardians, Volkswagen aims to engage with 1000 students during the year. Following this, the automaker prepares to extend the engagement to instructors and administrative staff, and guardians of students in the specific schools.
The first session for students of Sant Gadge Maharaj (SGM) located in Khondwa was held on 10th January 2017. Volkswagen will likewise be dealing with trainees from Madhavrao Sonba Tupe School and Babu Jagjeevan Ram School taking the overall count to 579 by the end of January 2017.
Volkswagen India is devoted to the cause of promoting road safety and supporting efforts to lower roadway traffic injuries. As part of its road safety effort Volkswagen India is likewise supporting the Centralized Traffic Control centre project at Pune started in 2016.
